I visited Burgess Falls for the first time Tuesday. The park is fantastic, and the trail up to the overlook runs along the river above the falls with scenic views.
However, the path is steep, with many stair steps. If you need a more accessible way up, a road runs from the parking lot to the overlook.
Chestnut Oaks, just outside the park entrance, is an excellent place to grab a sandwich when you visit.
